Plastic Free July

Plastic Free July
There’s a lot to love about creating from leather... it means everything to us that all our leather wallets, leather bags and leather belts are sustainable, eco-certified and last a lifetime!

Here at Stitch & Hide headquarters, we’ve been working hard to do our bit because we’re not just a leather goods label, we’re here for people and our planet.

Our eco-friendly designs are taking on big adventures around the world and as global citizens we’ve made a conscious effort to eliminate plastics from our production, products and delivery process.

We started our journey to a plastic free world by protecting all our leather wallets in a recyclable cardboard box and our leather bags in reusable cotton dust bags. We also send all our customer orders in compostable mailers.

We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk! For Stitch & Hide sustainability is more than a marketing buzzword; it’s a driving principle behind what we do. We follow the industry best practice standards, we control our supply chain from start to end, surpassing global fair trade compliancy milestones, we invest in responsibly sourced tanned leathers and we make sure that the rights of our factory workers are never compromised. From the concept of our products to you holding them in your hand, people and planet come before profit.

Let’s all be part of this revolution to a plastic free world. Here’s a few ideas for you:
  • Say ‘no’ to plastic bags and keep some reusables on hand. Why don’t you use our Georgia or Emma leather tote for your grocery shop?
  • Try a reusable coffee cup (Keep Cup)
  • Carry your own reusable water bottle
  • And really, who needs a plastic straw or cup lid these days?

One small step from all of us will be one giant leap for “humankind,” so let’s all make an effort this July and every day to ditch single use plastics and work towards not only reducing but ultimately eliminating plastic waste from entering our oceans and waterways completely.

A challenge to end plastic Pollution.
